The incident occurred at around 10:30 PM near Dock Street and the A1203. Despite her pleas for him to leave, the man, who was wearing a black puffer jacket and grey hoodie, continued to try to open her car door, even making gun signs. Shanika managed to swerve around him and drive off, recording the ordeal and sharing it to warn others, particularly women, to lock their car doors. She criticized the police response, as they only offered an interview appointment for the following week. Shanika emphasized that London has become increasingly unsafe, urging caution for all, especially women driving alone.
