Nathan MacKinnon Wins Hart and Ted Lindsay Awards
Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon was the standout winner at the 2023-24 NHL awards, securing both the Hart Memorial Trophy for the league's most valuable player and the Ted Lindsay Award for the most outstanding player as voted by his peers. MacKinnon achieved a career-high 140 points, including 54 goals and 89 assists, and became the first player in NHL history to record two separate 19-game point streaks in the same season. Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Bedard was named the top rookie, winning the Calder Memorial Trophy after leading all rookies with 61 points. Other notable winners included Aleksander Barkov (Selke Trophy), Jaccob Slavin (Lady Byng Memorial Trophy), Connor Hellebuyck (Vezina Trophy), and Quinn Hughes (James Norris Memorial Trophy). Rick Tocchet was honored with the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year, and Dallas Stars' GM Jim Nill was named the top general manager.
