R. Sridhar Appointed Assistant Coach for Afghanistan

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has appointed R. Sridhar, the former fielding coach of India, as their assistant coach for the upcoming series against New Zealand and South Africa. Sridhar, who has a significant coaching background including a tenure with the Indian national team from 2014 to 2021, will assist during a historic one-off Test match and a three-match ODI series. He has previously played 35 first-class matches and has extensive coaching experience from the National Cricket Academy and IPL. The ACB has expressed hopes for a long-term contract with Sridhar following these series. As a Level-3 certified coach, Sridhar brings a wealth of experience to the Afghanistan team.
