ElevenLabs Launches Multi-Language Reader App

ElevenLabs has launched its Reader App globally, now available on iOS and Android, supporting 32 languages and allowing users to listen to various text formats including articles and PDFs. The app features Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for reading text from images and utilizes high-quality AI voices to enhance the listening experience. Initially released in the US, UK, and Canada, the Reader App marks ElevenLabs' first consumer-facing product after achieving unicorn status with $80 million in funding. It incorporates hundreds of new voices, including those of famous actors, powered by the new Turbo v2.5 model for improved performance. Future updates will include offline support and the ability to share audio snippets. The Reader App competes with similar services like Speechify and Mozilla's Pocket.
