India's Men's Hockey Team Wins Bronze in Paris

The Indian men's hockey team celebrated a remarkable bronze medal win at the Paris Olympics, defeating Spain 2-1, marking their second consecutive Olympic medal after a 52-year gap. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined the festivities in Bhubaneswar, announcing cash rewards of Rs 15 lakh for each player and Rs 10 lakh for support staff, along with a special prize for Odia player Amit Rohidas. Captain Harmanpreet Singh dedicated the victory to the nation, highlighting his crucial role as the tournament's top scorer. The match also served as the farewell for legendary goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, whose final game was celebrated by teammates. Mandeep Singh expressed that the team's motivation stemmed from wanting to honor Sreejesh with another medal. Prime Minister Modi and President Murmu praised the team's achievement, reflecting on the resurgence of Indian hockey.
