Hezbollah Retaliates with 200 Rockets and Drones

Hezbollah launched over 200 rockets and drones at Israeli military sites in retaliation for the assassination of senior commander Mohammad Naameh Nasser by an Israeli airstrike near Tyre, southern Lebanon. This escalation marks one of the most significant attacks in the ongoing Lebanon-Israel border conflict, which has intensified since the Gaza war began. Despite the heavy bombardment, the Israeli military reported intercepting many projectiles and drones with no immediate casualties. Both sides have suffered considerable losses, with Hezbollah casualties exceeding 300 fighters and dozens of civilians, while 16 Israeli soldiers and 11 civilians have been killed.
