In Colorado, zebra mussel veligers were detected in the Colorado River and Government Highline Canal, raising concerns about ecological and infrastructural impacts. Additionally, zebra mussels have been found in three Minnesota lakes, prompting the Minnesota DNR to implement measures to prevent further spread. These findings underscore the urgent need for containment and eradication efforts to protect local ecosystems and water infrastructures.
