Naoya Inoue to Defend Title Against TJ Doheny
Naoya Inoue, the undisputed super bantamweight champion, will defend his titles against former IBF title holder TJ Doheny on September 3 at Tokyo's Ariake Arena. Inoue, who is unbeaten in 27 fights with 24 knockouts, is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters and has unified titles across two weight classes. Doheny, with a 26-4 record, has a successful history in Japan, having bounced back from setbacks with three consecutive wins. Inoue's last fight saw him knock out Luis Nery, despite being knocked down in the first round. The event will also feature WBO bantamweight champion Yoshiki Takei defending his belt against Daigo Higa.
