Operation Muskan Rescues Over 3,000 Children in Telangana

In July, Telangana's Operation Muskan successfully rescued 3,076 children, marking a significant achievement in the fight against child trafficking and labor. The operation, led by the Telangana police's women safety wing, involved 676 personnel and targeted vulnerable areas including railway and bus stations, brick kilns, and construction sites. Among the rescued, 934 children were from other states and countries, 2,510 were liberated from child labor, and 2856 were reunited with their families. The initiative also reported the arrest of 639 individuals involved in child exploitation. Efforts are being made to ensure the rescued children receive education and support for their rehabilitation. This operation has been recognized as one of the most effective in India, with Telangana having the highest compensation package per rescued child.
