Amy Dowden Returns to Strictly After Cancer Battle

Amy Dowden is set to make a triumphant return to Strictly Come Dancing after battling stage three breast cancer. Diagnosed in May 2023, Dowden underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and fertility treatment, and was eventually declared free of disease. To celebrate her comeback, a special quickstep group dance, choreographed by Jason Gilkison, will be performed during the show's 22nd series launch. Dowden will take center stage in the routine, dedicated to her 'pink sisters' and others battling cancer. The empowering dance will feature a medley of songs performed by Dave Arch and his band, and Dowden expressed her excitement and gratitude for returning to her 'Strictly family.'
