Djibouti Offers Ethiopia Access to Tadjoura Port

Djibouti has proposed granting Ethiopia full management of the Tadjoura Port to alleviate tensions with Somalia, following Ethiopia's controversial agreement with Somaliland, which Somalia opposes. Djibouti's Foreign Minister, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, stated that the proposal aims to provide Ethiopia with direct access to the sea and involves a newly constructed corridor to facilitate transport. This offer comes amid escalating diplomatic tensions in the Horn of Africa, exacerbated by Egypt's military support for Somalia in response to Ethiopia's actions. While Djibouti's proposal is seen as a step towards resolution, specific terms remain unclear, and Ethiopia has yet to respond officially.
