India Women Defeat South Africa in Chennai Test
India secured a convincing 10-wicket victory over South Africa in the one-off women's Test in Chennai. Despite centuries from Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus, South Africa's second innings total of 373 was insufficient against India's first innings declaration of 603 for six. Shubha Satheesh and Shafali Verma comfortably guided India to the modest target of 37 runs. This is India's second 10-wicket triumph in Tests against South Africa, the first being in 2002. The match saw Wolvaardt becoming the first woman to score a century in all three formats in the same year. India and South Africa will next face off in three T20Is scheduled in Chennai.
