Manu Bhaker to Take Break from Shooting

Manu Bhaker, the 22-year-old Indian shooter, is likely to skip the upcoming Shooting World Cup in October to take a three-month break following her historic performance at the Paris Olympics, where she won two bronze medals in the women's 10m air pistol and mixed team events. Her coach, Jaspal Rana, confirmed that this break is well-deserved after an intense training period and noted uncertainty regarding her participation in the World Cup scheduled from October 13 to 18 in New Delhi. Bhaker's impressive Olympic campaign also included a fourth-place finish in the 25m pistol event, narrowly missing a third medal. Following her break, she and her coach plan to focus on preparing for the 2026 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
