Mandeep Singh to Tripura
Indian cricketer Mandeep Singh has announced his move to Tripura for the upcoming 2024-25 domestic season, ending a 14-year association with Punjab. Mandeep, who captained Punjab to their first Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title in 2023-24, expressed gratitude to the Punjab Cricket Association and former players like Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh for their unwavering support. Throughout his career with Punjab, he scored over 14,000 runs, including 19 centuries and 81 fifties. In a heartfelt message, he noted that it was time for a new chapter and looked forward to new milestones with Tripura, particularly after the departure of wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha. Mandeep made his debut for Punjab in 2010 and also played three T20 Internationals for India in 2016. Alongside him, Tripura has also acquired former Punjab batter Jiwanjot Singh for the new season.
