Josh Gad to Star in Spaceballs Sequel

A sequel to the 1980s parody film Spaceballs is in early development at Amazon MGM Studios, with Josh Gad set to star and produce alongside Mel Brooks. The project's script, co-written by Gad, Benji Samit, and Dan Hernandez, is being directed by Josh Greenbaum. Plot details for the sequel have not been disclosed yet. Kevin Salter will serve as the executive producer for the film, which follows the cult classic original that parodied Star Wars and other sci-fi franchises.
