Royal Oak Teen Arrested for Dispensary Theft

A 15-year-old boy from Royal Oak was arrested after allegedly stealing over $100,000 worth of marijuana and cannabis-related products from Gatsby Cannabis Company. The burglary occurred early on August 3, with the teen smashing a window to gain entry and ransack the dispensary. Police found the stolen items at his home during a search on August 5. The teen is also suspected of a previous home invasion and leading police on a high-speed chase. He has been charged with breaking and entering and third-degree fleeing and eluding, and is currently held at Oakland County Children's Village. Officials noted the recovery of a significant amount of evidence.
