Beau Hossler Leads Rain-Delayed Wyndham Opener
Beau Hossler shot a 10-under 60 in the rain-delayed opening round of the Wyndham Championship, nearly achieving a sub-60 score but settling for pars on the final three holes. Hossler's stellar round included an eagle on the fifth hole and a front-nine score of 28, giving him a two-stroke lead over Billy Horschel, who still has two holes to play. The tournament was postponed due to heavy rain from Tropical Storm Debby, causing play to be delayed and suspended by darkness. Hossler, currently ranked 88th in the FedEx Cup standings, needs a strong finish to qualify for the playoffs. This performance marks his first start since a runner-up finish at the Open Championship. The second round will resume with players yet to complete their first round starting early Saturday morning.
