Shooting Incident in Sydney's Austral Suburb

In a dramatic incident in Austral, Sydney, a local plumber, Daniel Klinsic, chased two alleged gunmen barefoot after being awoken by gunshots around 11:05 PM on Thursday. Following reports of gunfire, police found an abandoned stolen vehicle on Craik Avenue containing bullet casings and a fuel canister. Klinsic described his instinctive reaction to protect his family, stating he pursued one suspect until he could no longer run on gravel. Police later apprehended a 30-year-old man who is assisting with inquiries, while another suspect remains at large. An empty pistol magazine was also discovered by the police dog unit nearby. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage from the incident.
