Meg Ryan was honored with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival, recognizing her significant contributions to cinema. Festival director Jovan Marjanović presented the award and praised Ryan's iconic roles in romantic films such as 'When Harry Met Sally' and 'You’ve Got Mail'. In celebration, Ryan screened 'You’ve Got Mail' at the same venue where it premiered in 1999 and participated in a masterclass discussing her latest film 'What Happens Later', which she directed and co-starred in. During her acceptance speech, Ryan expressed gratitude to the festival and highlighted the importance of art and culture as acts of resistance. The festival, founded during the Bosnian war, continues to showcase diverse films, featuring a total of 240 this year.
