Toby Keith Tribute Concert Airs on NBC

Toby Keith: American Icon, a tribute special honoring the late country star, will air on NBC on August 28. Carrie Underwood opened the event at Bridgestone Arena with a performance of 'A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action,' dedicating her tribute to Keith, who passed away from stomach cancer in February at age 62. Luke Bryan paid homage by performing 'Should’ve Been a Cowboy' while wearing a cowboy hat from his late sister. Trace Adkins is set to sing 'American Soldier,' emphasizing Keith's genuine respect for military personnel. The tribute also features performances from numerous artists, including Eric Church, Lainey Wilson, and Brantley Gilbert, celebrating Keith's legacy and contributions to country music. Partial proceeds from the event will benefit Keith's OK Kids Korral Foundation, supporting children battling cancer in Oklahoma.
