Liverpool Accept £30M Bid for van den Berg

Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is set to join Brentford in a deal worth up to £30 million, including add-ons. The 22-year-old Dutch centre-back, who had interest from several Bundesliga clubs, opted for Brentford despite offers from Bayer Leverkusen and others. Van den Berg, who joined Liverpool from PEC Zwolle in 2019 for £4.4 million, has spent most of his time on loan, notably impressing at Mainz last season. He is expected to undergo a medical and finalize a five-year contract with Brentford.
