Rams Sign Cornerback Jerry Jacobs Amid Injuries

The Los Angeles Rams have signed cornerback Jerry Jacobs to bolster their secondary after suffering significant injuries during training camp. Derion Kendrick has been ruled out for the entire 2024 season due to a torn ACL, while Darious Williams is sidelined with a hamstring strain and is expected to be out for at least a week. Jacobs, who started 12 games last season for the Detroit Lions and recorded a career-best three interceptions, is anticipated to add depth to the Rams' cornerback position. Coach Sean McVay indicated that the team remains open to further additions to their secondary, potentially considering other free agents like Ahkello Witherspoon. The Rams' cornerback group will now also include veterans Tre’Davious White and Cobie Durant, alongside second-year pro Tre Tomlinson and undrafted free agents.
