Ben Affleck to Star in Killing Gawker Biopic

Ben Affleck is reportedly interested in portraying Hulk Hogan in a new biopic titled 'Killing Gawker,' which focuses on Hogan's legal battle against the media outlet Gawker. Production is being organized by Affleck and Matt Damon’s company, Artist Equity, with plans to begin in January 2025. The screenplay, written by Charles Randolph, is based on Ryan Holiday's book 'Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue.' Hogan's lawsuit against Gawker, which stemmed from the unauthorized publication of a private sex tape, resulted in a jury ruling in his favor with over $120 million awarded in damages. Matt Damon is also expected to play venture capitalist Peter Thiel, who funded Hogan's legal actions against Gawker. This project comes amid the stalling of a previous biopic about Hogan starring Chris Hemsworth.
