Manslaughter Probe After Bayesian Yacht Sinks

Sicilian prosecutors have launched a manslaughter investigation following the tragic sinking of the Bayesian superyacht, which resulted in the deaths of British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, his daughter Hannah, and five others. The yacht, described as 'virtually unsinkable,' went down in a severe pre-dawn storm off Porticello, near Palermo. Survivors, including Lynch’s wife and the yacht's captain, have been questioned by authorities. Investigators are focusing on potential human error and whether the crew adequately responded to the worsening sea conditions. The search operation, which concluded on Friday, recovered all missing bodies, with Hannah Lynch being the last found. Lynch had recently celebrated his acquittal in a major US fraud case and had invited friends and family aboard the yacht for the occasion.
