Extradited Man Faces Charges for Obstructing Arson Investigation

Alexander Giannakakis, formerly from Massachusetts, has been extradited from Sweden to face charges related to the obstruction of an investigation into several arson attempts at Jewish centres in Boston, 2019. Initially indicted in Boston, 2019, on charges including making false statements in relation to domestic terrorism, and concealing records in a federal investigation, Giannakakis is now set to appear in court. His brother, the main suspect in the arson cases, passed away in 2020. Giannakakis was previously arrested in Sweden for possessing illegal firearms and worked in security at the US embassy.
