Vikram Confirms Sequel to Thangalaan

Chiyaan Vikram announced a sequel to his recently released film 'Thangalaan' during a media interaction in Hyderabad, following the film's decent box office performance and mixed reviews. The actor expressed gratitude for the audience's support and mentioned that discussions for 'Thangalaan 2' had already taken place during the filming of the original. Directed by Pa Ranjith, 'Thangalaan' focuses on a tribal community leader's struggle during the British Raj and has been praised for its performances, particularly Vikram's. The film, which grossed close to Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend, also received accolades, earning Vikram recognition at the National Awards for his work in 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The sequel is set to begin production soon, as confirmed by the actor and director. 'Thangalaan' is available in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, and is produced by a collaboration of Jio Studios, Neelam Productions, and Studio Green.
