Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has announced the phased rollout of its new video streaming platform, Truth+, aimed at providing alternative content that is often neglected by larger corporations. CEO Devin Nunes stated that Truth+ will offer a safe harbor for free speech and will house various content, including news, lifestyle, and family-friendly programming, while also planning to integrate Christian content in the future. The service will be accessible via the Truth Social app, requiring an update for iOS users, while Android and web users can access it without additional downloads. Initial offerings will focus on channels that include commentary and entertainment, but specific details on programming and pricing remain unclear. The rollout's success hinges on the newly built content delivery network (CDN), which TMTG claims will provide uncancellable content, although the platform has faced technical issues in the past. While TMTG has not disclosed subscription costs, it faces competition from other niche media platforms and must overcome significant challenges to succeed in the streaming market.
