Sean Kingston, Mother Charged in Fraud Scheme

Rapper Sean Kingston, legally known as Kisean Anderson, and his mother, Janice Turner, pleaded not guilty to multiple state and federal charges related to an alleged $1 million fraud scheme. The duo is accused of defrauding various businesses, including luxury car dealers and jewelry stores, by using fraudulent documents to claim they had made payments. Their attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, has expressed confidence in having one of the cases dismissed, citing potential double jeopardy issues. The fraudulent activities reportedly occurred between October 2023 and March, leading to the acquisition of over $500,000 in jewelry and other luxury items under false pretenses. This is not the first legal trouble for Turner, who previously served time for bank fraud. Both are scheduled to return to court on October 11 as their legal battles unfold.
