Timpview-Provo Football Game Canceled Over Threats

The annual high school football game between Timpview High School and Provo High School in Utah County has been canceled due to threatening social media posts targeting Provo High's coaches, players, and their families. Provo School District Superintendent Wendy Dau expressed her disappointment over the situation, highlighting the negative impact of social media anonymity on community behavior. Officials from both schools, including principals Momi Tu'ua and Kami Alvarez, along with the Provo Police Department, are investigating the threats and ensuring appropriate consequences. Dau emphasized the need for the community to reevaluate its priorities and foster a respectful and safe environment. The game will not be rescheduled this season.
