Thackeray to Support MVA CM Candidate

Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has announced his support for any chief ministerial candidate proposed by the Congress and NCP(SP) for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Thackeray emphasized the need to decide the CM candidate in advance to prevent infighting and to focus on the state's self-respect and betterment rather than individual party gains. He criticized past alliances with the BJP, where the party securing the most seats would nominate the CM, leading to internal conflicts. Thackeray urged MVA members to rise above personal interests and work unitedly for the state's pride. The assembly elections are expected to take place in October or November, with the MVA comprising Sena (UBT), NCP(SP), and Congress.
