Haeran Ryu Wins FM Championship in Playoff
Haeran Ryu claimed victory at the FM Championship, overcoming a third-round setback to win in a playoff against fellow South Korean Jin Young Ko at TPC Boston. After starting the final round four strokes behind Ko, Ryu finished with an impressive 8-under 64, tying at 15-under 273 before winning on the first playoff hole. Ryu's performance included a career-best 62 in the second round, followed by a 78, but she rebounded strongly on Sunday, birdieing six of the first eight holes. Ko, who has been winless in 2024, missed a crucial birdie putt on the 18th hole in regulation, finishing with a 68. Ruixin Liu also had a notable final round, scoring her second consecutive 64 after starting the tournament with a quadruple bogey. Ryu earned $570,000 for her victory, marking her second win on the LPGA Tour.
