Congress, NC in alliance
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have criticized the Congress party's recent alliance with the National Conference (NC) for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. Yadav accused Congress of attempting to create 'anarchy' in the country for political gain, questioning their support for NC's agenda, including the reintroduction of Article 370 and the promise of a separate flag. Dhami echoed these sentiments, labeling the NC as a promoter of terrorism and separatism, and asserting that the Congress is compromising national security by allying with them. Both leaders expressed concerns over the implications of this alliance for peace and development in Kashmir. They emphasized the need for stability in the region, highlighting the improvements since the abrogation of Article 370. The assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will take place in September and October, with 90 constituencies up for contest.
