Non-Fatal Shooting Near Benihana in Dearborn

Dearborn Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred at 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the parking lot of Benihana near Fairlane Mall. The incident involved multiple rounds fired from a gold or silver Ford Explorer, injuring two people who are expected to recover. Police believe the shooting was a targeted attack rather than a robbery and are searching for the suspect(s) involved. Multiple vehicles were also struck by gunfire, prompting the University of Michigan-Dearborn to temporarily alert students to avoid the area.
