Hooda criticized the current BJP government for neglecting education and infrastructure in South Haryana, citing the shelving of a Defence University project initiated by Congress. Additionally, he promised welfare measures including pensions, free electricity, and transparent recruitment for vacant posts if Congress comes to power. Hooda lamented the rise in unemployment and crime in the state since the BJP took over, contrasting it with Haryana's previous status as a leading state in various socio-economic metrics. His remarks were made during a party workers' conference in Rewari, where he was joined by prominent Congress leaders.
