'Indian 2' OTT release

The highly anticipated Tamil film 'Indian 2', directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan, was released on July 12, 2024, but received disappointing reviews and was deemed a box office flop, grossing Rs 150 crore against a budget of Rs 250 crore. The film, which is a sequel to the 1996 classic, features a star-studded cast including Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kajal Aggarwal, and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Despite its theatrical failure, the film's digital rights have been acquired by Netflix, with an expected early release on the platform by August 2, although no official date has been confirmed. The film has been trimmed by 20 minutes in response to audience feedback, and is currently running in theaters.
