Penn State Wins After Weather Delay
Penn State's eighth-ranked Nittany Lions began their season with a commanding 34-12 victory over West Virginia, despite a two-hour lightning delay at halftime. Quarterback Drew Allar displayed increased assertiveness and leadership, completing 11 of 17 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Nick Singleton contributed significantly with 114 rushing yards and a touchdown. The team's performance, which included generating 457 total offensive yards and forcing three turnovers, demonstrated marked improvement under their new coordinators. The Nittany Lions extended their winning streak against West Virginia to six games. Penn State will host Bowling Green for their home opener next Saturday.
