ICC Men's Player of the Month

Washington Sundar has been nominated for the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for July 2024, following outstanding performances in T20I series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. He was instrumental in India's 4-1 victory over Zimbabwe, taking eight wickets across five matches and earning Player of the Series honors, with a standout 3/15 in the third game. In the Sri Lanka series, despite limited opportunities, Sundar contributed significantly in a thrilling Super Over match, scoring 25 runs and taking two crucial wickets in his final over, leading to another Player of the Match award. His performance in the Super Over further solidified India's 3-0 series sweep. Alongside Sundar, England's Gus Atkinson and Scotland’s Charlie Cassell are also nominated for their impressive contributions during the month. Atkinson made a notable Test debut, capturing 12 wickets, while Cassell's performance in Scotland's matches has drawn attention.
