The BBC has announced the upcoming thriller series 'Nightsleeper', set to premiere on September 15, 2024, with all episodes available on BBC iPlayer from 6am. The six-part drama follows a sleeper train that is hacked while traveling from Glasgow to London, forcing passengers to confront a myriad of dangers and mysteries as they try to understand who is behind the attack. Leading the cast are Alexandra Roach as Abby Aysgarth, a technical director at the National Cyber Security Centre, and Joe Cole as Joe Roag, an off-duty police officer. Together, they must navigate a tense situation where trust is scarce and danger lurks among fellow passengers. The series, penned by BAFTA award-winning writer Nick Leather and produced by Fremantle’s Euston Films, promises a blend of action and intrigue with unexpected twists. The show is directed by Jamie Magnus Stone and John Hayes, featuring a strong supporting cast that includes Alex Ferns and James Cosmo.
