Statue of Union Unveiled in Texas

A 90-ft statue of Lord Hanuman, named the Statue of Union, has been unveiled at Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, Texas, making it the third tallest statue in the US. The statue was envisioned by His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami to commemorate Hanuman's role in reuniting Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. Crafted from Panchaloha, it symbolizes benevolence, strength, and hope. During the inauguration, a ceremony was held where flowers were showered from a helicopter, attended by a large number of the Hindu community. The statue replaces the Our Lady of the Rockies statue as the third tallest in the US, following the Statue of Liberty and the Pegasus and Dragon statue in Florida. The project aims to create a spiritual epicenter promoting strength, devotion, and selfless service.
