Upcoming Candidate Debates Across the U.S.

Several communities are organizing forums and debates for voters to meet candidates ahead of upcoming primary elections. In Florida, the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a community forum on August 1 for local candidates, including those running for Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. Vermont's Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor, David Zuckerman and Thomas Renner, will debate on WCAX, focusing on issues like housing and climate change. Vermont's Republican candidates for the same office, John Rodgers and Gregory Thayer, debated on WCAX earlier in the week. The Rotary Club of Wilmington will host forums throughout August for mayoral, gubernatorial, and county executive candidates. In Trumbull, CT, the League of Women Voters will hold a debate for Democratic State Senate candidates on August 1. Lastly, Indiana's lieutenant governor candidates, Micah Beckwith and Terry Goodin, will debate agricultural issues on August 13.
