Extreme H Launches Hydrogen-Powered Racing Series 2025

Extreme E, known for its electric SUV races in remote areas to promote sustainability, is transitioning to Extreme H, featuring the world’s first hydrogen-powered racing series. The Pioneer 25 hydrogen race car, unveiled on the St. Helena ship in London, boasts 550 horsepower and incorporates both traditional carbon and green flax composites. The new series will start in April 2025, with races in Saudi Arabia, the UK, Germany, Italy, and the US. This shift aims to highlight hydrogen technology and its role in sustainable motorsport, moving races closer to Europe and the US.
