IIT Bhubaneswar Hosts World Entrepreneurship Day

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar recently celebrated World Entrepreneurship Day by organizing interactive sessions aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students and incubated start-ups. The event featured key speakers, including Brahmananda Mishra, President of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce, who shared insights on the importance of entrepreneurship for economic development. Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar emphasized the need to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset from childhood to enhance India’s economic growth, highlighting that developed nations have successfully commercialized research through entrepreneurship-focused education. Concurrently, in Raipur, a new co-working cum incubation center is being established to support emerging entrepreneurs, featuring modern amenities and plans to accommodate up to 500 users. This center aims to create a supportive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. Both initiatives represent significant steps towards developing a robust entrepreneurial culture in India.
