Three Arrested in New Jersey Acid Attack
In a shocking incident in Monroe Township, New Jersey, two Jacksonville residents, Betty Jo Lane and Jmarr McNeil, were arrested for conducting a brutal acid attack on a 42-year-old woman, allegedly hired by her ex-boyfriend, William DiBernardino from Boynton Beach, Florida. The attack occurred on July 26 when the victim was attacked with a highly caustic substance as she returned home from work, resulting in severe chemical burns covering 35% of her body. Following an extensive investigation, which included assistance from various law enforcement agencies, it was revealed that Lane and McNeil traveled from Florida to New Jersey specifically for this assault. All three individuals face multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit murder and aggravated assault. They have been apprehended in Florida and have waived extradition to New Jersey, where they will face prosecution. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a burn center for her injuries.
