MCD suspends junior engineer

The deceased, identified as Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nevin Dalwin, drowned on Saturday evening. The police have arrested several individuals, including the coaching centre owner, and are examining the adequacy of drainage maintenance by the MCD. Allegations also surfaced regarding the illegal use of the basement for commercial purposes. The MCD's actions represent its first significant response to the incident, which has sparked protests from students.
