Indian 2 Box Office Performance Drops

The Tamil film 'Indian 2', directed by Shankar and featuring Kamal Haasan, was released on July 12, 2023. The film's box office performance included a notable drop to just Rs 1.25 crore on day 11, prompting speculation about its imminent end in theaters. Critics noted that while Kamal Haasan's performance was commendable, the film fell short of the original 1996 classic in terms of storytelling and dialogue. Following audience feedback, the runtime was reduced by 20 minutes shortly after its release. A third installment, 'Indian 3', has completed filming and is set for release in January 2025.
