Blast in Pishin Kills Woman and Two Children
A bomb explosion near the Pishin police headquarters in Balochistan, Pakistan, killed a woman and two children and injured at least 16 others, including seven policemen, on Saturday. The bomb was detonated remotely via an explosives-laden motorcycle targeting police personnel at Surkhab Chowk. The injured were transported to the trauma center in Quetta, with several in critical condition. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, but it follows a pattern of increased violence by separatist groups and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) against security forces. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and called for the perpetrators to be identified and punished. The Counter-Terrorism Department and Bomb Disposal Squad are investigating the incident.
