The National Rugby League (NRL) has announced its 2024 Hall of Fame inductees, featuring a mix of iconic players from various eras. England's Sam Burgess, known for his bravery in the 2014 Grand Final, becomes the first Englishman inducted. Melbourne Storm legends Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, and Billy Slater, along with Johnathan Thurston and Greg Inglis, are also honored. Additionally, Lionel Morgan, the first Indigenous Australian to represent the nation in any major sport, is recognized. This year also marks the first induction of women players, led by trailblazer Natalie Dwyer and five other pioneers. The formal induction ceremony will take place next Wednesday at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
