Two Gainesville Residents Arrested for Child Pornography

A police investigation in Miami led to the arrest of 53-year-old Francisco Ramón Cruz Rodríguez, who was found in possession of 482 images and videos of child sexual abuse, including explicit content involving pre-pubescent victims. Meanwhile, in Gainesville, 33-year-old David William Addis was arrested after a CyberTip from Kik revealed he had shared multiple videos of child sexual abuse and engaged in sexually explicit conversations with minors. Addis is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography and admitted to soliciting and possessing such materials, acknowledging the involvement of victims as young as five to seven years old. Cruz Rodríguez is currently held at TGK Correctional Center, while Addis faces multiple charges including transmitting harmful materials to minors. Both cases highlight ongoing concerns regarding child exploitation and the use of online platforms to share illicit content.
