Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Pasadena Metro Attack

Juan Pablo Flores, 33, has been charged with attempted murder and mayhem after a brutal attack on a woman at the Allen Metro station in Pasadena on August 7. The incident involved Flores punching the victim multiple times, slamming her head against the platform, and ultimately throwing her onto the train tracks and into oncoming traffic on the nearby 210 Freeway. The victim was hospitalized but is reported to be in stable condition. Flores is being held on $2 million bail and could face a life sentence if convicted. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón emphasized the need for accountability and safety on public transit, while local officials have called for urgent safety measures in response to the incident. Flores is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Pasadena.
