Snapchat Releases Native iPad App

After 13 years of being exclusive to iPhones, Snapchat has finally released a native app for iPads, eliminating the unsightly black borders that previously plagued iPad users. The update (version 13.4.0.41) ensures the app fills the entire iPad screen, providing a better user experience with features like a larger canvas for capturing Snaps and more accessible tabs. However, the app currently only operates in portrait mode and is not yet optimized for landscape use, which may still inconvenience some users. This move positions Snapchat to better compete with rivals like TikTok, which already supports larger screens and landscape mode. Despite these limitations, the update marks a significant improvement and is available for devices running iPadOS 13 or later. Snapchat's new iPad app also supports recent AI-based features, further enhancing its functionality.
